The monitoring team of FES CZU with the support of colleagues from Saxony, Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic, Forests of the Czech Republic and both national parks administrations Czech and Saxon Switzerland completed the spring season of fieldwork in the project territory. Scientists have checked and confirmed the presence of wolves in the Šluknov region and in the Krušné Mountains for the second time since the beginning of the project, but now in full vegetation period. They are currently evaluating the results not only from field trips but also from intensive monitoring campaigns using camera traps. Tens of thousands of photos will soon bring valuable information not only about the occurrence of wolves, but also about the offer of their natural prey in the territory.
