Seminars were held in Šumava NP on the methods of collecting wolf residence signs

On December 5th-6th, 2023, 4 seminars were organized for employees of regional huntig departments and rangers of the Šumava National Park Administration. The aim was to train the participants in the methodology of collecting wolf residence signs for winter tracking of animals in the snow. The training took place in the Srní Visitor Center, the Kvilda Information Center, the Šumava National Park Administration building in Vimperek and the Forest Workshop in Stožec. The seminars were implemented as part of the project "Ecological impacts of the return of wolves to the Šumava/Bavarian Forest ecosystem" of the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague and the administrations of the Šumava and Bavarian Forest National Parks. The project is co-financed by the European Union from the program Interreg Bavaria – Czech Republic 2021–2027.
