The OWAD project team, with the participation of field workers from the CZU, NCA CR and Museum Görlitz, took part in a full-day training in wolf capture techniques on 2nd November. Collaborating Saxon colleagues from Lupus, Ilka Reinhardt and Helene Möslinger, familiarized participants with the theoretical aspects of wolves captures, but especially with practical examples of the trapping process itself and its location. Those present have tried to manipulate the device on their own. Part of the training was an excursion to the premises of the České Švýcarsko National Park and the inspection of sample sites and demonstrations of the location of traps in the field. The long-term experience of German colleagues in the near future will help the OWAD team in the upcoming telemetry of wolves in the Czech Republic.
