On 21 November 2018 the Czech Switzerland National Park, in cooperation with the OWAD project, organized a public lecture in the village of Srbská Kamenice. The reason for organizing this action was the increase in numbers of attacks on livestock in this area of the park and the fear of locals from the presence of the wolves in their vicinity.
During the two-hour lecture, more than 70 listeners from the local population learned basic information about the biology, distribution, behaviour and current occurrence of the wolf in the Šluknov region. During the lecture, the listeners were also informed about the problem of wolf attacks on farm animals and how to effectively protect herds against wolf attack.
After the lecture, there was a peaceful discussion about the issue of cohabitation between a wolf and a man.
