An excursion for primary and secondary school students who attended the Summer School at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences of the CZU in Prague took place on 9 and 16 July 2019. OWAD wolf monitoring specialists took approx. forty students to the Ore Mountains, where regularly wolf presence signs are found. Future scientists could see that the wolves returned to the Czech borderland. Scientists led them to places where they had previously discovered prey. Even during the excursion, they found wolf scat, so students could also try to register it in the SCALP methodology and try out the scientific work in the field. They also looked at the footage records and learned basic information about the ecology of these carnivores and the issue of their return to the cultural landscape.
